The Functions of the Unit

The Instruction Support Services (ISS) group is a unit of MITS, with the responsibility of using technology to facilitate and enhance teaching and learning.

  • Development, Implementation and management of multimedia enabled lecture theatres.
  • Support academic staff in the use of Multimedia systems to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ongoing support of academic staff in the utilization of courseware development tools
  • Preserving institutional memory by capturing and recording important aspects of University life in digital form.
  • Maintenance of the University's Learning Management System. (OurVLE)
