Week 3 Introduction to Caribbean Cultural Theory and Theorists: Creolization, Hybridization, Resistance.
Week 4 Historiography of Caribbean Cultural Studies: Social History to Cultural History to Cultural Studies and its effects on Scholarship.
Week 5 Colonial Theory
Week 6 Postcolonial & Postmodernist Discourses
Week 7 Caribbean Postmodernist Discourse
Week 8 Negotiating Spanish Caribbean Identity
Idea Paper (10 pages – 10%) due, no later that 2pm
Week 9 The French Caribbean Perspective
