Fourteen Students Inducted in the DLS Honour Society

On Friday, February 9, 2024, the Department of Life Sciences (DLS) inducted fourteen (14) students across Levels 1 to 3 into the Department of Life Sciences Honour Society based on their outstanding academic performances for the 2022-23 academic year. Each student received an Honour Society pin, a certificate, and a UWI-Bookshop gift certificate. This was the 8th batch of DLS honour students to be inducted. Prof. Mona Webber, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, expressed admiration for the inductees, emphasizing their remarkable accomplishments and potential to make significant contributions to the STEM industry. She commended their hard work and perseverance, urging them to continue their pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

The inductees are: Jemar Alexando Cunningham, Biology with Education; Diana Ellen Johnson, Marine Biology; Ashley Alisha Thomas, Experimental Biology; Kalifa Safiya Forrest, Environmental Biology; Deidre Hall, Marine Biology; Krystal Annaleigh Francine Thompson, Environmental Biology; Noel Jonathan Ellis, Terrestrial and Freshwater & Animal Biology; Tianna Saniesha Brown, Environmental Biology; Melissa Samantha Brown, Animal Biology; Victoria Dean Bethany, Marine Biology, General Chemistry; Janelle Janet Johnson, Environmental Biology; Barzey, Jerel Tariq Tristen Marine Biology; Kerina Wiltina Joseph, Marine Biology & Management; Jameili Rayana Ashmara Thomas, Environmental Biology.
