Master of Science in Forensic Science - cont'd


Course of Study

The programme combines rigorous scientific and laboratory training with exposure to the breadth of forensic science disciplines and further specialization in one of the following four areas: forensic chemistry, forensic molecular biology, forensic pathology and anthropology and forensic toxicology. Students will also receive training in statistical evaluation of forensic evidence, legal testimony related to chain of custody, good laboratory practices, testing procedures, results and interpretations, report writing, research, and the value of professional ethics

Each student is required to successfully complete the Core Curriculum which provides the student with a broad-based educational experience in Forensic Science. Courses included in the Core Curriculum are as follows:
