Lecturer (Inorganic)
D.A. Dixon
Research Interests
  • Reduction of potentially toxic oxoanions by kinetically active cellular and non-cellular substrates.
  • Stereoselectivity in Biomolecular Reactions Involving Metal Ion Complexes
  • Molecular Mechanics(MM) and its uses in the study of structural aspects of ligand systems and complexes of main group and transition metal ions.
  • The search for potentially useful novel bimetallic and trimetallic systems.
  • The mediatory role of dissolved molecular oxygen in redox reactions with particular emphasis on amino acids, vitamins and small molecular weight substrates of biological interest.
